How to change the date format

The way the Date is displayed depends on your browser settings. To ensure the format is dd/mm/yyyy the default language must be English (United Kingdom) or English (GB) depending on which browser you use.


Change the language of your Chrome browser

On Windows, you can set Chrome to show all settings and menus in the language that you want. This option is only available on Windows computers.


On Mac or Linux? Chrome will automatically display in the default system language for your computer.

  1. On your Windows computer, open Chrome.
  2. At the top right, click More .
  3. Click Settings  (or you may need to click on the User > Customize your Chrome (see below image) 
  4. At the left, click Languages
  5. Under 'Preferred languages', next to the language that you would like to use (English (United Kingdom)), click More.
    • If the language is not listed, add it by clicking Add languages.
  6. Click Display Google Chrome in this language.
    • This option is only available on Windows computers.
  7. If it is not already at the top of your languages, click Move to the Top
  8. Restart Chrome to apply the changes.



 

 

Change the language of your Firefox browser

Follow these steps to add more languages to Firefox.

  1. Click the menu button  and select Settings.
  2. In the Language section of the General panel, click Search for more languages in the drop-down menu.
  3. Click Select more languages to add and choose the language (English (GB)) you want to add, then click the Add button.
  4. Use the Move Up and Move Down buttons to change the order, or Remove to pull a language out from the list.
  5. Click OK to save your changes.



 


Change the language of your Edge browser

1. On the Microsoft Edge homepage, click on  on the top right corner of your browser.

2. At the bottom of the drop-down menu, click on Settings

3. At the button on the left-hand menu, click on Languages

4. Click on Add languages in the top-right corner. 

5. Type in the name of the language you want in the Search languages section. 

6. Tick the check box next to the language you want to choose (English (United Kingdom)) and click Add

7. Click on  next to the language you chose.

8. Click on Display Microsoft Edge in this language.
