Transactions used to match against your entries on KEYinfinity for your reconciliation process can be created from a direct bank feed or by manually importing your bank transactions.
Import bank transactions where a bank connection exists
If you have setup a direct bank feed, data will be imported from your bank, based on the date you entered in the ‘Import transactions from’ date. These transactions will be automatically imported up to date when you load the Imported Bank Transactions screen.
From the main menu, click on Bank Accounts
Click the More
button > Imported Bank Transactions
Click Refresh if you have made some further transaction on the bank since loading this screen
Import bank transactions manually
If you have chosen not to connect your bank to KEYinfinity or if your bank is not available to create the connection, you can still import your bank transactions manually to assist you in your bank reconciliation process.
Download a sample CSV file:
From the main menu, click on Bank Accounts
Click the More
button > Imported Bank Transactions
Click the More
button at the top right of the screen > Import
Download the sample CSV file
Populate sample CSV file:
Log in to your online banking
Export the statement or transactions for the relevant date range to excel or csv. How you do this will differ between banks
From your Downloads folder, open the KEYinfinity sample file in excel
Copy the relevant information from your bank export file into the sample template
Use Save As to save the sample file to your chosen location. Make sure the file type is CSV
Import your CSV file:
Go back to the Imported Bank Transactions screen
- Click the More
button
- Click Upload
- Browse to the location you saved your file and select the file
- If the transactions are valid you will be shown the number of transactions that will be imported
- Click Import
