How to use Filters

Modified on Tue, 11 Feb at 9:19 AM

All the daybook screens and ledger listing screens, including the Banks, Traders, VAT and Ledger codes have a filter   on them so that you can display more specific information. The Transaction Audit also has one. Each list will have a different filter menu but they are activated in the same way.

For example, if you want to find any inactive nominal codes, click on the filter icon at the top of the Nominal listing screen. A new screen will open where you can choose your filter options:

Click on    to show a drop down list of options you can filter on in that particular screen. For example, the nominal listing screen will give you these options:

The Status option may not be in the list because the listing screen already filters to just show Active nominals.

To find the Inactive nominals, select Status and you will be given further options.

These options will depend on the type of field you are filtering on.

Finally, once you have selected the condition, you will then be shown the final options. In this case whether you want to display Inactive nominals, Active nominals or both. Then click on Apply.

Once you have finished with the filtered information you can close the filter by clicking on the x: .

If you want to clear the filter option use the red dustbin icon:

You can filter on more than one option at a time.

If you want to stop using the filter completely, just click on the blue filter icon at the top and the screen will close.
