Enterprise and Analysis codes

Modified on Mon, 10 Feb at 10:33 AM

Enterprise and Analysis codes provide further levels of analysis for management purposes. An Enterprise code and/or an Analysis code can be added to each transaction though it is not compulsory.

Enterprise codes can be used to identify departments for costing, or production enterprises for performance monitoring.

Analysis codes can be used to identify transactions for individual properties, machines, partners or job costing.

Set up Enterprise and Analysis codes

From the Ledgers menu select Enterprise or Analysis to display the listing screen.

Click on Add to create a new enterprise or analysis code:

Once saved, the enterprise/analysis code will appear in the listing screen.

Edit Codes

Click on the blue Name field which will display as a hyperlink. You can edit any of the details except the code.

Hide an Enterprise or Analysis code

If an enterprise or analysis code is no longer required and cannot be removed because it has been used, you can archive it by making it inactive.

  • From the main menu, go to Ledgers > Enterprise/Analysis
  • Click on the blue Name field or double click on the grid row
  • Click on the Active toggle to switch it off
  • Click Save

Filter

A code which has been made inactive can be viewed on the listing screen. To view inactive codes:

  • Select the dropdown arrow on Status at the top of the screen
  • Tick Inactive to show Inactive nominals as well as Active.
Note: Any inactive codes will have a red dot next to them rather than green for the active ones.

There are also options to filter on Code, Description and Name. See the Filters section for more details.
